《旅游专业英语》教学大纲

一、大纲说明

总学时:48学时(讲课24学时,实践教学24学时)

总学分:3学分

课程类别:专业课

适用专业:MTA(旅游管理专业硕士)

课程的性质、目的、任务:《旅游管理专业英语》是旅游管理的专业基础课。本课程的教学是在员工完成了《旅游学前沿》和《管理学前沿》等课程的学习以及初步具有听、说、读、写等方面的能力基础上进行的。本课程主要为了使学员熟悉有关旅游的专业词汇,了解旅游英语的特定表达方式,提高学员的听说能力、写作能力、阅读能力和翻译水平,从而进一步提高学员的专业素质,以适应将来工作的需要;同时,也为学员以后撰写毕业论文及阅读旅游外文资料打下基础。

教学基本方式:以课堂讲授为主,社会考察为辅。在教学中,多与员工交流思想,多采用“启发式”教学,绝不能“灌输”理论。在课堂上,可针对某一理论,结合现实,展开课堂讨论。课程中至少安排1次社会考察课,理论与实际相结合,让员工们了解社会,了解中国特色社会主义的实际成果,加深对中国改革开放的认同。

大纲的使用说明:本大纲适用于本校MTA专业的《旅游专业英语》课程。

本课程在教学中的重点和难点在于将理论应用到现实中,也就是通过该课程的学习使学员在旅游行业的听说及英语专业论文撰写能力有一定的提高。为了解决这一难题,在授课的过程中更多的采取参与式的方法,多给学员时间。此外,让学员熟读一定的英语论文,使他们充分掌握英汉互译的方法。

Review(2 class hour), test(4 class hour)

Notes:

In order to improve the students’ spoken English, a everyday topic was added to the teaching process, ask two students to tell a topic, then let them tell when, where, who, what, how briefly. And if others have questions about the topic, she/he can question the two.

The student’s speech should be lasted over 3-5 minutes. Everyone should listen carefully, because if that is a good topic, it can be the final test. In order to avoid some lazy students and make all the students prepare for the topic, the students will be called randomly, all the topics are different.

四、考核方式与评分说明

考核方式为闭卷,满分为100分,其中30%为平时成绩,70%为期末成绩。考试时间为120分钟。命题时注意突出理论联系实际题。
